SUMMER SOLSTICE 2011

Another beautiful evening spent in the garden on Tuesday, June 21st.  It was our second annual Summer Solstice Dessert Party.

We enjoyed the music of Peaceful Fools.

Met friends and neighbors.

Harvested some vegetables.

Everyone enjoyed our evening in the garden.

There were plenty of desserts to share.

And a beautiful sunset.

Thank you to everyone: the music-makers, the bakers, the ice cream maker, those who set-up and those who cleaned up, and those who came to make this evening a success.
Who's ready for the next event?

Make-It & Stake-it

Brown Bag Event #2 for 2011

Our Make-It & Stake-It project was a huge success.  About 20 crafty gardeners and their helpers came out in the heat tonight to share a little homegrown salad and delicious homemade bread.  Then we got crafting!
Now our garden plots are beautified and identified. See the results for yourself...

Jane also did some garden maintenance

Lettuce anyone?

We have many varieties of lettuce - some common, some less common.  The sunshine and rain have provided Wayside gardeners with more lettuce than even the rabbits can eat.
